Founder and piano teacher
My professional background includes 7 years as an educator and entrepreneur.
My musical journey started with Kathak at the age of 8 years. I enjoyed Kathak as it gave me a way to channelize my energies and use it as a form of self-expression. After that, my interest grew in North Indian Classical vocal & Tabla and I did certification courses from Bhatkhande University, where I was introduced to the details of Indian Classical Music.
Because of my musical exposure, I decided to pursue my Masters in Arts degree from SNDT University in Mumbai with Sitar being my major instrument.
After completing my MA degree, I worked in the capacity of Lead Music Teacher in various International Schools in Mumbai. Along with this, I also offered private music classes to my students ranging from 5 years old to 70 years old. During that stint, I started learning Piano as well as Digital Keyboards. That helped me in helping my students come up with performances that leveraged my classical training coupled with my western learnings. By offering fusion music, I could create an enjoyable atmosphere for all the children in all the schools that I worked with. That experience made me realize that I enjoyed teaching kids of all ages!
After coming to US, I heard about Simply Music®. The simple method of teaching how to play piano is very similar to Indian Music. Thus, my decision to pursue Simply Music Teaching was a natural progression.
As a Licensed Simply Music Piano Teacher, I teach a fast and simple method of learning to play piano. But more than that, I guide each individual student to learn to hear music, to integrate music into their lives, to acquire and nurture a lifelong companionship with whatever types of music sing to their heart.

I offer lessons for children and adults in individual, paired and small group classes. Seniors and students with special needs are welcome. My current students are loving to learn the piano! I am Priyani Vani Panditt and have been working in Indian Music Industry for the last 15 years.I started my career with reality shows. People know me as female winner of VOICE OF INDIA show on START PLUS. Apart from this I have participated in SAREGAMA, JO JEETA WOHI SUPERSTAR, BOL BABY BOL etc. I have done playbacks in movies like FERRARI KI SAWARI, PLAYERS, THANK YOU and in many more regional movies. I am quite active in Indian independent music industry too.. have released some singles also in last 5 years. I am attaching some of the links of my songs. I am also doing Musical theatre named RAUNAQ AND JASSI with FEROZ ABBAS KHAN.
I have been teaching Indian music and voice production for the last 4 years and my project is related to this. I believe in adequate basic foundation of music in kids. Music ignites all the areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social- emotional and overall literacy. I have been learning music since my childhood and have done Masters in Music.

Compared to other music schools, a few things are very unique about my class:

Students play piano from their very first class

I train students to play-by-ear and later learn to read sheet music only after they develop a keen interest in the instrument and in music in-general

Apart from reading notations, I help my advanced students to improvise and arrange their own musical compositions. This opens the doors for creativity in their realms.

I encourage my students to learn to sing while playing piano. This allows them to have an immersive musical experience that has no parallels.

Our Uniqueness
My teaching style helps me offer 2 unique things to my students:
- Almost all the music studios in Bay Area focus on only 1 kind of music for an instrument. For example, most piano teachers focus on teaching how to read notations for western classical music. In some other cases, teachers focus on a particular curriculum that they follow.
- In my case, even though I follow Simply Music curriculum and its teaching style, I maintain a balance between western foundation and pop/Indian music. This helps me keep my students engaged and maintain their interest levels at peak. Also, teaching them some pop/Indian music helps the entire families get engaged in the learning process since many of these pop songs come from playlists that the families love to listen to.
- I understand and strongly believe that each student has his or her own strengths and weaknesses. Hence, I am able to tailor the program according to the needs of each student. Also, I see my success as closely tied to the success of each student. So I make sure that I am personally invested in the development of each student and ensure I give personal attention to each student.
