Everyone has their own unique taste in music, and I believe students should have the opportunity to play what they enjoy most. This keeps them motivated and engaged. While following the curriculum and covering all the fundamentals of music, we also personalize lessons to make learning more enjoyable and meaningful for each student.
With my strong background in Indian music, I have a special place in my heart for Bollywood and Indian classical music. This deep connection allows me to bring a unique perspective to my teaching, offering a rich and diverse musical experience. Many of my students, who primarily learn Western music, also express a strong interest in playing Bollywood music on the piano. It’s incredibly rewarding to see them engage with music that resonates with them, and it’s always a joy to watch them bring their favorite Bollywood songs to life on the piano.
In my studio, I recognize that every student has different tastes and musical preferences. As a result, I offer differentiated lessons that cater to each student's individual interests. For students who love Bollywood music, I provide lessons that incorporate popular Bollywood songs, blending the technical skills of Western music with the vibrant and rhythmic styles of Indian music. This not only makes the learning process more enjoyable but also helps students develop a broader musical perspective.
By integrating Bollywood music into lessons, I encourage students to explore a wide range of musical genres and help them create a truly personalized learning experience. It’s a wonderful feeling to watch students excitedly play the music they love. Whether they’re performing a Bollywood tune for their family or playing a Western classical piece, my goal is to inspire students to connect deeply with music in all its forms. By tailoring lessons to each student's interests, I help foster a lifelong passion for music that extends beyond the boundaries of any one genre.
